Can inserting MARKERS become a feature in Q-MIDI?

I’ve asked for this one in the past, but it’s going to need an upgrade in resolution from the program. Currently, you can’t place lyric events accurately enough for an audio edit that wouldn’t be noticeable. You are going to need ms accuracy, and currently the program only deals in 1/100th sec accuracy...

But if it could be pulled off, it’s a gamechanger...

For MIDI files though, QMIDI is accurate enough, being usually at bar or beat boundaries. But audio is a different thing.

Nice..!

And then MIDI definable controls for the Markers!

Might want some options for Jump to Marker immediately, or Jump to Marker at end of current section...

I’m still of the opinion that this would be a game changer for performers. Audio tracks in a live situation offer a level of realism that nothing else can achieve, but the price you pay is slavish adherence to the original structure.

Being able to skip or repeat verses, do extra solos, vamp sections for talking over etc., without losing those audio tracks changes your show from barely concealed karaoke to an actual interactive show!

Adding millisecond accurate jumps with MIDI definable triggers (and a nice display so it’s easy to remember what’s what!) would totally redefine what QMIDI is as a program. Please consider trying to achieve this… 🎹😎
