Question and possible bug in CDG-Backup

Susan&Win
Miscellaneous comment to start: some of our CDGs won't burn, either at all or just a few songs will burn but others don't. We are assuming this is because the CDGs are old and possibly disintegrating. My husband is going to try again to see if we can get just our favorite tracks. But this is not a bug (we don't think).

Question: When they do burn, they usually show up in Finder with the song title having a black square next to it. But some squares are yellow, from the same CDG. Does that mean anything? We have not tested all of them yet to see if they play the same as the ones with the black squares.

Possible bug: in at least half the CDGs my husband is burning, the Album Title is not captured in the Backup/Burning process, but instead shows as "Unknown Title with a string of numbers. This is NOT because he did not enter the album title at the top of the backup screen. He has double-checked this again and again, he knows he is entering the Album Title, but will still often get the "Unknown Title" with string of numbers.

Thanks for seeing if you can find what causes this.

Is there a particular brand (publisher) of CD-G’s that is exhibiting the issue, or is it random?

Regarding the black boxes and sometimes yellow boxes next to the Song name in Finder after burning with CDG Backup: it's only LEGENDS brand that will sometimes have a yellow box instead of black. Out of about 15 total Legends-brand discs, three of them have all black boxes, the majority have a few yellow boxes per each disc. But so far, we don't find that it is a problem, the yellow-box songs open and play (though we haven't played them all the way through, just initial testing).

Regarding the problem were the Album Title does not translate correctly from CDGBackup top line to the burned folder in Finder, but instead shows "Unknown" with a number string: that is completely random, not related to brand. We've fixed them individually in Finder.

Try to exit the editing field (by pressing the tab key) before clicking the "backup" button.
