App for QMidi

Is there any chance of getting a simple app made that will control simple functions of Qmidi on a iPhone or iPad?

I run Qmidi in my band & When I play Solo, and I also MC many functions, so Im not always on stage near my laptop, so It would be useful to control basic features like "play" & "stop" via my phone or iPad so I dont have to keep running back on stage.

Would this be possible?

Hello Claude,

Simple MIDI remote control via MIDI messages (START/STOP) is already possibile. See QMidi Help:
Audio/MIDI Settings > MIDI Input > MIDI Transport

You may use the iPad App "TouchOSC" with this layout:
http://www.mixagesoftware.com/downloadables/STARTSTOP.touchosc 
to send START/STOP MIDI messages to QMidi.

Before I buy the TouchOSC, will I be able to see the QMIDI library like that on the laptop screen? If not, how will I know what song is selected for me to stop/start it?

Good point Claude. To the developer: that Touch OSC app could be used for more than START/STOP? Will I be able to choose the songs and rewind or fast forward them? Exactly what features could be controlled by this app?

At this time, you can control only Start/Stop via MIDI messages.
